SEC Approved a new regulation that would allow the Money Market Funds to halt the redemption’s if they deemed it appropriate. In the event of another financial crisis investors may not be able to get their funds when they desire. This rule by the SEC also increases the regulation on the Money Market Funds and should make them even safer.
